Who We Are

Welcome to Tachiko! We’re a passion project fueled by our love for anime, Japanese culture, adventure (we travel...a lot), and, of course, the amazing community that comes with it. We’re a small team who decided to turn our fandom into a business, against our better judgment, but hey, no regrets...yet.

The name Tachiko was inspired by the word Tachibana, which means "citrus" or "tangerine" in Japanese. And yes, it’s also inspired by one of our favorite anime characters: that certain orange-haired pirate from a lesser-known anime. Her love for adventure and endless spirit are the perfect parallels for our journey, and we like to think we’re following in her footsteps.

So, why start a business? The answer is simple: we love anime, we love traveling, and we really love meeting people who share our passions. After attending way too many anime conventions to count, we decided, “Why not take the plunge and turn this hobby into a full-on adventure?” So here we are, doing what we love and sharing it with you!
